BUTTERNUT FARM, SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO:
This iconic white and green farmhouse was built in the 1850s and was used in all of Sullivan Entertainment’s Anne of Green Gables films, as well as the tv series in Road to Avonlea.SCARBOROUGH MUSEUM, SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO:
This museum is housed in 4 separate buildings; the Cornell House, the McGown Log Cabin, the Hough Carriage Works, and the Kennedy Display Annex. The Cornell House specifically, was used during the filming of Anne of Green Gables.GUILD INN THEATER, SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO:
The Inn and its Garden are situated high above Lake Ontario on the rugged Scarborough Bluffs. One of the period city locations commonly used when filiming locally is the Toronto Distillery District. Originally called “The Gooderham & Warts Distillery,” the district was used in the Road to Avonlea episodes “But When She Was Bad, She Was Horrid part 1 and 2” and “The Return of Gus Pike”. Sullivan also used this location for the six-part miniseries, By Way of the Stars and for the war-torn streets of France and England in Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story.EDWARDS GARDEN, TORONTO, ONTARIO:
Edwards Gardens sits adjacent to the Toronto Botanical Garden, located at Lawrence Avenue East just west of Leslie Street. On the upper level of the valley there is a lovely Arboretum beside the Children’s Teaching Garden.CHESTNUT PARK, TORONTO, ONTARIO:

THE ELGIN AND WINTER GARDEN THEATRE, TORONTO, ONTARIO:
The Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres are a pair of stacked theatres in Toronto. The Winter Garden Theatre is seven storeys above the Elgin Theatre. They are the last surviving Edwardian stacked theatres in the world. The location appears in the 1994 film Camilla, 2017’s The Shape of Water and Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla (2023).THE GOODERHAM BUILDING, TORONTO, ONTARIO:
Located in the St. Lawrence Market District of Old Toronto, the Gooderham Building (also known as the Flatiron Building) is an historic office building overlooking Berczy Park. It’s situated in one of Toronto's most vibrant and historically significant neighbourhoods. It’s become a popular filming location, with the surrounding area often standing in for New York City neighbourhoods.DOWNTOWN TORONTO:
Furthermore, Toronto’s city centre is often used as a New York City stand in. Located entirely within the district of Old Toronto, it is bounded by Bloor Street to the north, Lake Ontario to the south, the Don Valley to the east, and Bathurst Street to the west. The likes of Suits, The Umbrella Academy, Suicide Squad (2016) and many more have filmed in Downtown Toronto for New York City.
